review 1: You know a book is probably going to be good when the acknowledgement page makes you laugh.I don't think I've ever read a book that made me laugh out loud as much as this one did. The main characters, Bijal and Colleen, were wonderful and their banter was sexy and hilarious all at the same time. Fran was absolutely priceless as were many of the other secondary characters. At some point, I'm going to go back through it and make a list of all the funny sayings that I want to remember. The only problem with that is I'll probably be listing about half of the book.Hidden among all the hilarity was a really interesting political commentary. I so wish there was a real candidate with Colleen's views, because I would be leading the pack to vote for her. And I hate politics. ... moreMs. Moody, do you have any interest in running for Congress? Please?I would really like to rate this one 4 1/2 stars, but any book that can make me laugh like that deserves a round up, so 5 stars it is!
review 2: I really enjoyed this book, it was both witty and sexy. I think Colette Moody's storytelling ability is well above most other writers in the lesbian genre.If you are planning to read this, there are a couple of things to consider. First, there is a lot of politics in this book. Some may find it a bit preachy, but, I found the characters' ability to laugh at themselves lightened that up quite a bit. Second, if you are looking for a smutty sex book, this ain't it. If you are a fan of boatloads of UST and sexy banter, this is it. less
