review 1: Not the greatest crime novel I've ever read but I will give this author another chance at least. He has an interesting style and plotting but there is a lot of irrelevant material in the book that seems to be more filler than background. Also, in this novel each chapter is devoted to a specific character and they don't always link directly with the main plot device which makes keeping them straight especially as there are a lot of them.

Call it an urban thriller - or neo-noir, I guess. All I know is that Harrison writes a good story.
