review 1: The Lightkeeper's Daughter was an enjoyable day's read; despite it is what I consider a fluff story. It offers a bit of intrigue, a bit of romance, a bit of history. I liked the setting and timing of the story: lighthouses and the early 20th-century.Colleen Coble's Christian message is trusting God. Her heroine gets into some scrapes, of course, and she chooses to trust God to get her through them. I felt this was handled perhaps a little too simplistically, ending of course as a happily-ever-after story.

On a fateful day, she learns that that she is not the child of the couple who has raised her at Battery Point Lighthouse … that she has another life she's nev... moreer known of. The fun begins then as she is taken back and reintroduced to a family who thought her drowned at sea. Mysteries soon kick in, a little intrigue and suspense, and a nice love story. You will love Addie's character and how she impacts the life of others. … A nice line near the end: "Dady to day dependence on God was lall she needed to flourish." less
