review 1: I'm so glad I found this book! After Ben is a wonderful story about Theo and his journey from love to loss to love again. I loved that it was an emotional read, without being angsty or manipulative. After Ben is wonderfully written - the dialog is great, the flashbacks seamless, and the secondary characters are 3 dimensional and engaging. My only complaint? I want more! I would love to see more of Theo and Morgan.
review 2: wasn't sure what to read and picked this up finally. what a wonderful book! all the SCs where wonderfully fleshed out and the prose where great. interweaving past and present also worked really well for me and the writing really is way above most mm in quality. I enjoyed that it was primarily about Theo as well, these days i find it so much ... moremore compelling to only get one MC's point of view and no head hopping, otherwise everyone's wanton miscommunication can just get too effing annoying. I found the blurb a bit spoilery, giving away the age difference between theo and morgan, because it would have been more compelling to wonder a bit more about why morgan was so reluctant to meet in RL, even though it would probably be obvious to most readers, it ruined the tension a bit. a final word. Ben. wow, i loved him soo much and found myself crying my eyes out at the end, even though i knew from the get go that he was gone (obviously), he was such a good character and i found myself so sad, while also loving the romance between theo and morgan. very talented author indeed to make the whole thing perfect and bittersweet and amazing. less
