review 1: Another sweet cowboy story in Chance creek. If you are looking for a sweet romance and a happy ending this is the book. Jamie, a cowboy forced by his father to study but in love with the farm life. After making some good investments he managed to have enough money to invest in Ethan's farm and become a partner. He loved all his life Claire and he planned his life and actions towards making Claire his wife.Claire, was a troubled woman with love issues. Her mother slept with her teenage crush and Claire decided to alienate herself from the family.He got betrayed by her boos/ boyfriend and she was a bitter woman bent on revenge.All her actions were guided by revenge and she took little in consideration other people feelings - her brother Ethan for once almost lost his farm be... morecause of her bitterness.I loved Jamie and his perseverance, I loved how he came to some realizations on the way to conquering Claire. I cannot say the same thing about Claire. She felt like a resentful old lady and I couldn't connect with her or feel for her. She was to cold for me and didn't create the same feel as Autumn.What I liked the most about the book was the Ethan and Autumn's story/ wedding continued with Jamie's and Claire story. Glimpses of their life together and where great.
review 2: Ok so this is the second book in the series, and it gave me mixed emotions. I both hated and loved Claire, I liked that she was strong and was willing to fight for what she wanted. But I also thought she was a bitch. Now Jamie I was completely in love with him from book one. He is such a sweetheart and mild mannered. He was also so willing and anxious to help out Ethan save the ranch. I also loved the fact that Jamie was so determined to fight for Claire and her love. There were also a few parts of this book that made me laugh. Poor Jamie was put into situations that any man would buckle under. less
