review 1: AAAHH I love this book!I'm reading it for the fourth time this year! I've never read a book so many times before but I just can't help it. You know when you want to just hangout, relax and watch that favorite movie? Well this is my book that I always pick up when I'm in the dumps or I just want to escape to a world of action, recovery and love. I've read all the books in the series and this is my favorite (obviously). Out of all the males, Wick is my favorite. Coreene did a phenomenal job at describing the emotions that he was always portraying. Wick is a quiet character, he barely talks… there's a big reason on why he's such a quiet guy but I won't give that away. Any who, like all the characters; he went through some trauma which made him a very quiet reclusive man. Co... morereene described his way of thinking so vividly, one can really understand and feel for Wick even though he didn't speak a lot. He literally just says a sentence here and there. She described his demeanor very well, I feel like I really know him and grew to love him. His companion, Jamison, is the best pairing for him. It was such a great idea on Coreene's part to put them together and to be able to showcase their love through the horrible messes they went through. Overall, great series so far and I'm hoping I can get more of these two!
review 2: I listened to the first four books of the DragonFury series on audio and although I wasn't thrilled with the narrator I had more issues with the books themselves. To be honest, if I hadn't bought all four books I wouldn't have gotten passed the first book. There is nothing overtly wrong with the plot or the lead characters. I just didn't like the author's constant use of descriptions and similes. A guy is sad, as sad as.... like a .... more upset than..... Throughout the book there was multiple instances of this and it annoyed me like nothing else. I also couldn't stand the detailed descriptions of their 'shitkickers' every time the male leads got dressed. I know they have to wear shoes, you don't need to describe their single pair of shoes every time. However, now that I am four books in the plot has started to develop a bit more and I am semi-interested in where the Europe connection will go. Not sure if that interest will last until when book 5 comes out though. less
