Corinne Leigh Donovan builds suspense like a pro and then navigates the reader easily through multiple plot twists and turns which she couples with beautifully subtle foreshadowing. The end result is that A Mind Abducted is engrossing, fast-paced, and will ce... morertainly leave you wanting more. Fear not though, as a sequel is forthcoming, and from the included excerpt it seems unlikely to disappoint.My only faults with this work are a few minor technical errors that a quick once-over by a new set of eyes could have weeded out and some occasional stilted dialogue that could also have been smoothed and made a bit more "natural" by another round of editing.
review 2: I'm shocked that the reviews on Amazon are as good as they are. About 20 pages in, you forget that this girl is ten years old. She brushes off emotional and physical trauma like its nothing and says "okay, stranger-- lets get out of here!" With a LOT more detail, it could have been good. I guess that's what I get for getting a free book. The only thing that made it worthwhile was seeing the real love Eric actually had for her. less
