review 1: I found this book useful in not only picking up tips to plot out my writing, but in learning the general meanings of the cards. It's a fabulous resource for anyone interested in either writing or tarot, and I'd almost say it's a must-have for anyone with any significant interest in both. Not every suggestion Kenner makes is completely to my taste, but the information is intriguing and thought-provoking.
review 2: Found this book at a used book sale and I new I had to have it. As an author and a Tarot reader this is the perfect combination of both! And, you don't have to be a Tarot reader in order to use it. Anyone who writes fiction should have this on their bookshelf as a valuable resource to go to when struggling with character creation, plot outlines, and... more such. Lately I have been writing non-fiction, including my recent release "365 Tarot Activities" (in which I referenced and recommended Kenner's "Tarot for Writers" book) so I have not gotten a chance to utilize this book in the fashion that I have wanted to, however I am hoping to work on a fiction title this summer and this book will be on my desk for quick reference.Kenner has an easy approach and this book is great for beginner or experienced writers as well as those familiar or not-so-familiar with Tarot cards. If you don't read Tarot but are a fiction writer, do not let this book scare you off...you can still use it and learn two skills with one book! less
