It’s day eight of the Joyzine Advent Calendar, and as the nation’s pubs, clubs and restaurants brace themselves for an onslaught of office Christmas parties, we’ve got another day of fantastic free music for you to download.
Today’s track comes from London-based Lark, formed by musician and visual artist Karl Bielik, Lark have featured on several advent calendars of years past and are currently gearing up for the release of their sixth album, The Last Woman, in the new year along with a new 7″ release of one of their first recordings, ‘Can I Colour In Your Hair’, remixed by Andrew Weatherall.
Today’s track ‘Mary’, a wintry ballad quite unlike anything we’ve ever heard from the band before, comes from the same recording session and has been specially remixed and remastered for this year’s calendar.
