review 1: This had a good story line to it. I could definitely relate to the Heroine Haven and we can all relate to bad boy millionaire Latch. Haven pretty much swore off men after a bad relationship that destroyed her. She was sworn to her book boyfriends and B.O.B. She worked and came home, that is it. Haven was not living life she was simply existing. Latch is your typical bad boy playboy. He made his money fast, created some video games and works in a fun environment. He enjoys the night life, the partying and having a different woman or three in his bed at night. They meet on an off chance that Haven was out, there was insta-attraction/chemistry between them and it went from there. I don't do spoilers or retell the whole story during my reviews. What I will say is there was a l... moreot of reflection on the past abuse Haven went through. Everything that she endured and how she got herself back out of the darkness that she was in. Latch is also facing his demons and the author also touches briefly on that. She points out the signs, she uses supporting characters to speak about the dangers of it. So for those of you who are leaving reviews based on her "condoning" these behaviors maybe if you can get the judgement from in front of your eyes and read the whole book you would get what she was doing here. In summation, the book was a good read, the story line was good, I would have liked to see a little more development between the characters. I would recommend the books to other readers. Relentlessbookchic approved. review 2: So very pleasantly surprised by this book. This a my first Cory Cyr read and I totally devoured it. Haven is a 37 yr old woman who has been through a lot. Latch is a 25 yr old famous hottie with some issues. Put these two together and HOT DAMN you have a hot story. These characters will have you in tears, laughter and love. Hold on and enjoy the ride. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a steamy romance. less
