review 1: Tato kniha mě naprosto překvapila! Příběh Danteho a Reece je krásný, už od začátku jsem jim fandila. Je to velmi čtivé, přelouskla jsem ji za 3 dny s přestávkami :) Reece i Dante si mě už od začátku jako hlavní postavy získaly, ale mezi další mé oblíbené postavy bych zařadila Miu i Gavina. Postavy, které mě naopak iritovaly byly Nate a Elena. Kniha má cca. 280 stran, takže hračka pro čtenáře, kteří mají rádi letní romantiku, ideální na letní dovolenou :) Škoda, že Caberra neexistuje doopravdy, jinak bych se tam chtěla určitě podívat ;) Jinak se těším na další díl, který se bude soustředit na Miu. Doufám, že u nás vyjde brzy a že se tam potkáme s Dantem a Reece :) Knize dávám 4 hvězdičky a to z důvodu, že s... moree soustředila spíše na ty vztahy, než na popis okolí (což je docela škoda). Ale řadím ji ke svým oblíbeným a určitě se k ní vrátím :)
review 2: There’s not much to say about this book. It’s a pretty straightforward YA romance with a typical Mary Sue protagonist and the obligatory to-die-for gorgeous love-interest, not to mention the insta love. Very sweet, very mushy and swoony; it almost borders on being annoying, and comes close to inspiring a few eye-rolls. But, as predictable as it was more often than not, I still enjoyed it. The Caberra Island setting was a welcome change from the usual high school setting, and what I loved about it was that it maintained that Summer vacation feeling throughout. I could almost smell the ocean and feel the island breeze lifting the hair off the back of my neck. To be very honest though, it was nothing different from your everyday teen rom com, and the rich boy falling in love with the farm girl from Kansas was relatively entertaining. Dante’s Girl is a light-hearted, fluffy, candy floss read with a main character most hormonal teen girls will be able to relate to, especially with all the dramatics. All in all a good, clean read, perfect for an afternoon next to the pool. less
