review 1: “Sometimes, before we fall, we fly.”Until We Fly in many ways isn’t your typical love story, but in many ways it is. I’ve been sitting here for the past 15 minutes trying to figure out how to review this book. Not at all saying it was bad. It was amazing. I’m sitting here trying to put into words why you should not only read Until We Fly but all of Courtney Cole’s Beautifully Broken series. Just like the others in the series, this book is a beautiful love story. But there is so much history to these characters have, it’s almost overwhelming. You meet Brand in previous books in the series but you don’t know about his childhood. You never hear why he is the way he is. But in Until We Fly, everything is revealed. And a lot of it is jaw dropping. You never expec... moreted what happened, to happen. I’m sitting here amazed at the person he became. It is truly remarkable.Nora. Nora is strong. Nora is tough. Nora is amazing. Her story surprised me. Like I never expected it. You knew that she had a controlling father. Very, very controlling. But some of the events that happened, I just never expected. At all. When you learn of some of the things she has gone through, you will gasp. Seriously. Total surprise. And then when you think it can’t get any worse, it does. The puzzle that is Nora doesn’t have many pieces, but the pieces that it has are enormous. And shocking.Courtney Cole did an amazing job telling these characters stories. She took very difficult subject matters and made a story about falling in love and helping each other heal. She had me so wrapped up, I didn’t realize the book was ending until I came to the epilogue. And the epilogue made me cry. Bravo Courtney. Amazing job.~Katie
review 2: The best one yet. Even though it deals with some issues that are gutwrenching, Courtney Cole deals with them in a way that just truly depicts the nightmares Nora and Brand have lived through. She expertly depicts stories that show that while her characters may be broken, they are BEAUTIFULLY broken. And that epilogue?.. Oh. My. Geeze. Tears streaming down my face, goosebumps all down my arms, and yet a smile on my face. Beautiful. less
