review 1: * ARC provided by the author for an honest review * Until We Fly is the fourth installment in the Beautifully Broken Series. It was a novel that I will never forget and can promise you will re visit for time to come. The author did an outstanding job with creating characters that were so unforgettable and well written, you felt every single emotion right alongside them and ultimately made them become a part of you. I can tell you this I will never forget them. Exceptional writing that flowed right off the pages and straight into your soul, made this a novel that is more than five stars. The title is so apt in explaining to us the meaning behind this story. There are so many ways to fly, besides the obvious and that is what we as the reader and the characters themselves lea... morern. Two broken people, find love and happiness within each others arms but their road to an HEA will be filled with landmines, challenges and hardships. Will love be enough or will the outside forces working against them break them apart?Brand is a military hero who has returned to his hometown to finally put to rest one of the demons haunting him. He may of fought in a war far from home, but the internal battle raging within him is far more horrific than anything he may of seen overseas. He is sexy, kind, and damaged. Nora, is a beautiful woman inside and out. Her compassion and love knows no bounds, but she to is battling her own demons and they are not the kind to go away easily. When Brand finally returns home, she sees her salvation and embraces it both hands.Knowing they have little time together, these two fight the explosive attraction they feel for one another, but you can't fight fate. Together, they slowly start healing each other until one day the past rears it ugly head and they are forced to make difficult decisions. Will they be able to hang on to their love or will they let go?It is a story that will make you cry ugly tears, then laugh out loud, blush and fan yourselves in the intimate moments and finally rejoice and yell YES! Filled with drama, angst, fear, love, betrayal, redemption and passion, Until we Fly encompassed all the emotions you would want to feel while reading a fantastic book. With twists and turns, ups and downs, the ULTIMATE emotional roller coaster, read and see how two people find each other again and learn to soar together.
review 2: I have loved this series since the first scene, drugs & sx in the car on the beach! Loved getting to know the characters, Brand and Nora, Maddie & Gabe, Dominic and Jacey and not forgetting Pax and Mila.Each of their stories have been fab, not your typical rich bad boy! The4se boys have all earned their stripes, and so have their lovely ladies.We had a glimpse of Brand in Jacey and Dom's book. He was always there for Jacey but she only ever thought of his as another brother. He had gone along in his life believing he was never good enough for anyone.He gets a call taking him back to his home town, where he gets caught up in an accident and helps the local scout group to safety. This is where he also meets Nora properly for the first time! Nora, is this very broken but sweet independent young lady who has been thrown by the accident and where she meets her High School fantasy; Brand.They both begin the healing process, we learn that these two have history. Brand is recuperating and needs someone to help him, Nora immediately offers to help him, she is only in town for the summer, and a a great excuse to stay clear of her father and uncle.Its quite hard to believe these two are going to get a HEA! He is guarding his heart, after having it bashed while growing up, she wants a summer of fun! Let the games begin! We learn about Nora's family, very dysfunctional one at that. We get to know her back story and whats expected of her at the family business. Her father is a dreadful person, as is her Uncle. She was a really strong person to have dealt with all that went on.Brand is back to deal with his family's estate and we learn all about his back story from when he was growing up. Both of them were from very different backgrounds but were both treated badly by their family.As they both begin to give into their desires, they grow stronger and begin to lean on each other but there is something brewing!Nora does what she thinks she needs to do to eliminate the hurt of her childhood, whilst saving the one person she leans on most with almost disastrous consequences Nora learns a lot of new information regarding her family.I loved the epilogue with everyone getting what they deserve, how beautiful was Gabe and Jacey's Grandmas last scene, very poignant.This was a great love story I had a warm fuzzy feeling throughout the whole book and not forgetting the smoking hot sexy scenes! PHEW! less
