review 1: I really liked the book Positively. It started out really sad, and then slowly grew into something else. After her mom's death due to AIDS, Emmy Price has to now move into a completely different house with her dad and step-mom. Her dad then decides that she needs someplace to go to, so she's sent to a camp for HIV-Positive girls. There she discovers that she is not truly alone and slowly becomes more positive towards things. This book is guaranteed to make you cry at least once. Anyone who liked The Fault in our Stars would most likely enjoy this book.
review 2: Positively by Courtney Sheinmel is about a girl and mother who were diagnosed as HIV positive. In one of the first chapters,Emmy's mother died from HIV. So, now Emmy doesn't have anyone to cope with or
... more too help her through it. Her mom and dad were divorced so now she doesn't have a close relationship with anyone and is getting sicker as time goes by. Her father takes her too a HIV Camp with other kids that are just like her. Then, Emmy learns that she's not a lone, and that people are in the same situation as her. She makes friends, and goes through ups and downs but in the end she finds happiness. This book I enjoyed very much, because I could connect to Emmy living without her mother. I also enjoyed it because I would have mixed emotions throughout the book. This book was a page turner and made me want to finish it. All in all this book is very good and you should read it! less
