review 1: This book basically continues from were the book (600 hours of Edward) left off. I thought this book set a positive light on people with Asperger Syndrome, And as Edward liked to say in this story, " I'm not stupid, I'm mentally disabled ".. Edward grew a lot in this book, he faced challenges that most of us couldn't handle on a daily basis. Edward is someone who can be a good friend, he is a great listener and has lots of patience especially for his good friend Kyle.. This story line would be even better if there were a part 3... still I give it 5 stars.
review 2: Edward is such an interesting character. I loved catching up with him again, and seeing where his life was at. there was much to love in this story. It is some time after the last novel. Edward's be
... morest friends, Donna and Kyle, have moved away, after Donna remarried. (I love that they didn't do a romance there, I think that would have cheapened the wonderful experience of Edward having friends, real true friends had they gone there. I also love that the author didn't have any animosity between Edward and Donna's new husband - his understanding and acceptance of needing to move for work, and because they are together was very true to type). Not only that, but Edward has also lost his job through a restructuring of sorts. This causes a lot of worry for Edward, as work was grounding for him, and it gave him more friends who accepted him as he was. When Edward finds out that Kyle has been having major problems adjusting to his new school and town, he decides to drive to see them. This is a huge step for Edward, and one that creates a lot of first time experiences for him - some good, some not so good.Edward and his fixations and his bluntness are like a breath of fresh air, and you grow to love his daily notes, his love of certain words (and his recording of that love), his hilarious cursing, his tell-it-like-it-isness from the first book, and that continues in this one too. less
