Rex Graves Mystery
review 1: This was a very well written mystery that gave the old-fashioned feel of the Agatha Christie stories but of course in a modern setting. The stranded suspects who couldn't leave due to a snow storm during the holidays was a great touch and the writer's ability to provide vivid images of the scenes made you feel like you were there, in the small sleepy English estate; it was extremely cozy. The intrigue with the characters and not showing "who did it" too soon in the story added a lot to the mystery.
review 2: This book is reminiscent of Ten Little Indians and other books where you start out with a group of people who are systematically murdered. I was disappointed in this work. In fact, I only took two things away from reading it: the author dislikes America
... morens and she likes Agatha Christie. This book was obviously written by an Agatha Christie want-to-be but didn't have her level of sophistication. I found it hard to get past the negative comments about Americans....the comments were extremely distracting. Through out the first half of the book, I kept debating just not finishing it but I try to always complete a book once I have started it. I can honestly say that I will never read another work by this author. less

Had to stop 1/4 into the book, the writing was so weak. Nice cover, though.

Not a bad way to pass the time, but a pale imitation of Agatha Christie.
