Modern Love Story
review 1: Diane is a rich, soon to be divorcee who has come to the island to escape New York and lick her wounds. She has rented a house next to the beach over winter. Her house is next to John, a native islander who works with timber. John and Diane develop a friendship but John is already in a casual relationship. John doesn't want a committed relationship so their friendship suits them both. I enjoyed this book, it was well written with characters that were easy to engage with. I look forward to reading more from Daisy Prescott.
review 2: I loved this book. I looooved spending time with John and Diane, to see how this couple gets together like adults that have a few issues to work on and that manage to overcome them. I also loved hearing from other beloved characters
... moreand to somehow get glimpses of how they are doing and what is happening with them.I really enjoy the types of stories that Daisy is giving us, they are very relatable and her characters are "contemporaries" to me. It's like reading about friends that I have not heard from. I wonder who will we get next? Great book! less
