review 1: It was an ok story. I liked reading more about nebula the best. Then I enjoyed seeing Sif, one of my favorite characters. If you loved the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" it would be a good idea to give this a chance. I mainly only liked the two prelude issues, infinite comic #1, guardians of the galaxy #0.1. The rest of the issues in this volume were old comics from the 50's and 60's, which I don't really like.
review 2: At first I'd like to point out that I have never read a Guardians Comicbook before. I bought this because of the movie and to get to know the character. The comic consists of several small stories with the characters Drax (& Ironman), Nebula, Gamora, Rocket & Groot, Rocket and Hulk, Groot by itself and Peter Quill. These are comics from differe
... morent Time periods and describe the characters before they were part of the Guardians. And every story having its own drawing style was refreshing and interesting for someone with no prior experience. The stories itself were interesting, yet some were quite confusing. (Considering the information I got from the movie trailers and my general lack of knowledge to this matter) Rockets adventures on a planet full of talking animals or Groot trying to enslave a small town on earth were fun to read, but I don't see why it's part of a "Prelude" compilation. less

The prelude itself was good. The other stuff, like the Iron Man comic, I could have done without.

Mixed bag. Some very enjoyable. Favorite is probably Nebula's backstory.
