review 1: I read this book called My Boyfriend Bites (My Boyfriend is a Monster). Its about a Mexican girl who is new to a school. Her name is Vannessa Shingles. She is the new kid at the school and she is kinda quiet at times. One night she went to a building and to find this really cute janitor name Jean-Paul (his name is pretty weird). He saved her from falling and as he saved her, the piece of a wall came down. He held the wall up with just his hands and nothing else. After that she went home to her Aunt's house. Her aunt is blinded but you would never know that because she can still do things like a regular person would do.But anyways, when she got home, she was very confused as to what he was. As she was walking another night ( i don't know why she keeps walking out in the mid... moredle of the dark by herself), a group of guys came up to her and scared her half to death. One of the guys flashed his fangs at her and then out of no where, Jean-Paul came he beat up the guys pretty bad but they still wouldn't leave her alone.. she was dinner for them. Jean-Paul kinda was like a watcher. I don't really like graphic novels, but this one really kept me entertained and it just made me not want to put the book down. The reason i say this is because, the pictures in the book looked like they were real and I love vampires. I reccomend this book to girls that love vampires and enjoy easy books.
review 2: Vanessa Shingle has been looking for love in all the wrong places – her last few relationships have been disastrous. But then she meets Jean-Paul – a janitor – who works on her sister’s college campus. He’s way too beautiful to pass up, so she asks him out. And he ends up saving her from falling to her death down an elevator shaft. Vanessa learns that Jean-Paul is a supernatural being (but NOT a vampire) who has been sent to protect her – she’s actually one of Van Helsing’s ancestors and she’s about to come into her power. Unfortunately, there’s a large group of vampires who want to take that power and they’re willing to do anything to eliminate the threat.I still like the first one best in the "My Boyfriend's a Monster" series. But the others are entertaining in a light and fluffy way - romance novels without too much hot and heavy, and plenty of danger and suspense to off-set the lurve. less
