review 1: Great characters, great western action, and a mystery twist. Only thing that troubled me was author's use of an unnamed church whose characteristics seemed to be Catholic references. Have to do some of my own research as I have always associated circuit riders with Protestant denominations.Update: Circuit riders were used by what was known in the 1800's as the Methodist Episcopal church which has Anglican roots. That explains the similarities to Catholicism. Oh, the learning journeys books can take you on.
review 2: I am currently reading this as a Kindle Serial. I am just beginning part 3. So far so good.Just finished part 3.I just finished part 4. Not quite as good as the other 3 but it was good. Hoping to be better the next time. The language has gotten bett... moreer though.Just finished part 5. This one seemed a little shorter. it is an ok story. Not really sure if I will read anything else by this author when I am through with this though. She actually had to clean up the language after part one after so many complaints.Just finished the last episode. For the most part, this was a pretty good story and I rated it accordingly. The thing that kept me from giving it 4 stars was that the author had to clean up the language in the first episode. I am assuming this was because of the reviews it was receiving. I am not a prude by any means, but the language that was being used was not fitting for this story. I kinda picked up towards the end that there is probably going to be a sequel. I will not be buying or reading this if there is. Why? Because I am hard-headed like that. less
