review 1: I'm glad I didn't buy this book. Not to say the book was bad, but not what I had expected. Many of the places mentioned are more military in nature or restricted places; not exactly where you plan to travel. I was hoping and thinking there would be more lesser known places that you could visit. Nevertheless, the book was a good read and the attractions were concise with a story behind each of them, although not all attractions had a detail description.
review 2: This is an interesting book which is definitely more suited to being read on a tablet rather than an e-ink reader as the images and map are a lot easier to read and understand in colour. They are also quite small and I found it easier to make them bigger on my tablet. However, the book is very interes
... moreting and a different take on places around the world. I actually used some of the ideas from is as part of a tourism lesson I was teaching and where the pupils would like to visit and where they would like to visit and couldn’t. All of the sections were short which made it easy to pick up and put down if you only had a few minutes at a time to read. The shortness of the sections did make you want to know more but then I guess you could go away and research the different sections you are interested. Factual and very informative. less

pretty good -- learned LOTS of stuff I didn't know. That's what reading is all about!
