review 1: Absolutely loved it. AND even better there was an epilogue that let you know that the characters continued to be happy. I love books where the main characters get together in the middle so you get to experience the magic of them being a couple rather than when they finally get together on the last page. Especially in those instances an epilogue is essential. But this book had both! Characters together in the middle and an epilogue. Nothing else needed. Brilliant.
review 2: I can't normally be bothered writing a review as what you love about a book (or not) is so personal but this one delighted me from the first page to the last one. Some of that can be put down to the fact that the blurb did not say that the book was set in New Zealand & even mentioned my much
... moremissed home town of Nelson. Most of it was that the small town farming community characters were well written and the writing raised genuine emotion in me for the characters as they went through their highs & lows. I will be looking for Danielle Hawkins again. less
