review 1: Wow! I don't know why I read this because I like to read books that are in series not stand alone and second it's a YA romance. Maybe I read it because of the cover? Anyway, it's a super fast read. It reminded me about all those Sweet Dreams books I used to read ages ago. Didn't really have a high expectation but I liked the read. There were some juvenile moments and some childish perspective, but hey it's written to cater to young ones. Shrug. Maybe it's also written to entice future DJs because there were a lot of plot stalling here and there.
review 2: Pure teenage fluff. The book is so unbelievable on so many different levels. Tere Adams isn't just shy, she's the type of girl who literally can't get two words out of her mouth in class. But she dreams of be
... moreing a radio DJ. Lucky for her, her brash and always scantily clad mother has married the head of a local Top 40 radio station. Wouldn't you know it, Tere manages to get work at the station and when a DJ gets sick . . . Well of course you know Tere jumps in, becoming "Sweet T" the mystery DJ who all the guys at school are falling in love with. And then there's the cute guy that sits next to her in English class. She slowly manages to start to engage him in conversation. And wouldn't you know it, he's a songwriter/musician and the radio station is running a contest--best original song wins a date with Sweet T! It's cute and there's absolutely nothing offensive about it. But I don't know a single teenager who actually listens to a "radio program." Do you? less
