review 1: I had to average my rating for this book as it is in two parts. I would have happily given part one 4/5 stars and the second part 2/3. I actually wish I'd left the book at the end of the first part as I was so emotionally involved and stirred; ur was beautiful. Unfortunately the second part left me a little cold. I've never read a book by Danielle Steele before so didn't know what to expect. I think she gets a lot of bad press. I did enjoy the book and didn't think it was badly written, maybe a little cheesy at the end but then that's what you want from this genre.
review 2: Really moving stories. I bought it last semester, while enjoying mid-term break. I spent 4 days to read it entirely. Campus library, public library, public park, as well as on train! Crazy,... more isn't it? Yeah, really. I even read it on train. This my first novel I bought after years. Got it at Popular bookstore, Clementi, Singapore. You guys novel lovers should read it! There are two stories in there. I favorite the first couple. But the second couple was moving too, especially due to Lilly books. Hmmm... nice! less
