review 1: This book was totally different from any of her others as it is a true story about her experience bringing supplies to the homeless for eleven years. I think it was a very brave experience as from time to time she and her volunteers found themselves on a few dark and dangerous streets and alleys. I think it was a kind thing to do and it did give so many people hope. I do think the story was a bit repetitive however it was an easy read and it was inspirational. It was nice reminder to each of us to help those in need. We take a lot for granted and reading this brought that to light.
review 2: Good book about the homeless situation in San Francisco, and how Danielle Steel financed giving coats, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, tarps, food, and teddy bears to hom
... moreeless people over 11 years. She had 4 off duty police officers helping her, and several of her staff members who wanted to help out. She points out how so many of the homeless have mental issues, and how they slip through the cracks, and often can't get to help because of the paperwork and hassle to get to places that can help the homeless. less
