review 1: Very different from the general historical romance. I like it when the heroine is not what you would expect from a titled lady. Sent away because she was a spoiled brat in need of humility and to avoid scandal but was forced to make a good match nevertheless. That part was a bit unbelievable nor did it make since. Especially her kissing the bandit that she just met. How did she not know it was him?
review 2: I'm not sure but I think I picked this up free off Amazon some time ago. Goodreads recently recommended it to me so I was surprised to find I had it waiting in my kindle. This book did offer a bit of a new spin. It was nice to see a different perspective on the country English folk and untitled but land owners of the regency age. I enjoyed how the book... more showed a progression of the MC. I also enjoyed the characters and the differences between the cast system.This book reminded me of the age old saying, " You can't take it with you."Overall, I probably wouldn't read this book again. It wasn't the best book ever and was a little slow. The book had a good moral to it.Content: this is not a clean romance. less
