review 1: When I first saw this book I didn't want to read it as i thought that Dave Barry was getting kind of old in the sense that he must have used up his ideas. I used to enjoy him but how could he still be funny? Was I wrong! This book had me laughing so hard I cried. It's just a pleasure to read and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh ie. everyone.BTW, the title is misleading and may have been what put me off. The book is not about parenting.
review 2: Funny. I checked it out because my husband has told my daughter for years that she can start dating when she is 35. The thing I enjoyed most about the book was how closely Barry's narrative follows the exact words my husband has said during the course of our married life. I tried to read it out... moreloud to my husband but it didn't have the same impact for him so I just read it in my head and giggled softly to myself. Enough adult subject material that I probably won't recommend this to my children. less
