review 1: What a joyous, upbeat little children's book this was! Almond's quirky sense of community spirit mixed with a magical sentiment and heartily-drawn characters - on top of great illustrations - makes a very readable little adventure. It's about a boy with strange notions of climbing through the moon (because he believes it's just a hole) and all the lovely, strange characters he meets along the way to reach his goal. And, actually, there is one very special, fairytale moment in the story that made my heart feel warm.Highly recommend!
