review 1: Despite the sometimes confusing order of this book, I loved it. The style of the book and brief passages it is written in make it an easy read, but captivating all the same. I almost wish that there could be another book or an addition to the existing one to provide the perspective that forms the other half of the story. Yet, at the same time, I think that this has the potential to ruin something special within the book. I think this is one of my favorite books, just because it was so easy to get invested in. I'd recommend this to anyone.
review 2: For some reason this book made a lot more sense in my head when half way i stopped imagining a man in love with a woman and started thinking of a Man in love with a man. The dynamics in the relationship just began to... more click into place. Its hard to write a book like this that isnt even remotely autobiographical... And the author is a Gay man after all. Other than that i enjoyed his prose although i did skim through some of the parts as i felt they were highly over dramatized. less
