review 1: The founder of Found magazine is spreading his gospel of stranger voyeurism by teaching us his methods in this book. The book opens up with a touching story about his dad, flows into something that seems like it would be useful, and then turns out to be total creeperdom. In a nutshell, he's giving us fodder for and convincing us to talk to strangers more often. While I will remember to ask strangers about their travels more often, I will not be asking them how they lost their virginity or if they've seen a dead body. Everyone has interesting stories that pair with these questions. Ok, everyone or just me? I guess that's the point - finding out how similar we are by getting beyond "how are you?". But social decorum is to just not ask about some things. And I'm ok wi... moreth that.
review 2: This is definitely a funny read that also offers some interesting questions to ask others or yourself. Some of the questions are good. But I had hoped for more thought provoking ones as I heard of this book through TED. But I do agree with the experience that amazing things come from meeting strangers and starting to talk to them beyond small talk... I also learned from this book never to loose your "not-to-do" list... less

Fun questions to entertain the mind, but nothing to get terribly excited about

Nice light essays. Couldn't see some of the photos of notes on my Kindle.

Fast read. Interesting premise, but it could stand some development.
