review 1: This is the second book in the series, and I did not read book one. I am wondering whether Jeremiah's back story was revealed in book one or whether this is just a tantalizing loose end that the author is using to hook readers. I am a bit annoyed by how little was revealed about his mysterious behavior. Though it offered a very strong-smelling red herring at several points in this plot, I feel that after dropping such provocative hints, Viguie owes her readers a little more information about Jeremiah's secret past.
review 2: Right before Thanksgiving, a Rabbi with a secret past, and a church secretary get caught in the middle of a series of murders and dog-nappings. I Shall not Want is a murder mystery involving a charitable wealthy owner of show dogs, the h... moreomeless population, and rescue dogs from shelters. Enticing story with steady pacing, that builds tension toward the end of the book. This is book 2 of the series and now I need to read book 1 which is about this duo and a serial killer that they stumble upon during Easter, hmmm I think there is a theme here. It’s a good book that I read on my kindle, 4 stars. less
