review 1: This was the third book in the Sweet Seasons series and I think that it is a close runner up for best book in the series. It dealt with a lot of issues that can happen in the Holiday season, loss of loved ones, theft and vandalism, and personal injury, to name a few, but what makes this book and the others in the series stand out is how they demonstrate the "turn the other cheek" philosophy in such turbulent modern times. It helps that they are young adult Christian fiction, but they also demonstrate other important life lessons. Well worth picking up and reading at any age!
review 2: This series keeps getting better!! The Winter of Candy Canes is the third book in the sweet seasons series and is about how Candace gets a job at The Zone as an elf for Christm... moreas. This time Candace has to hand out another sweet treat as an employee at The Zone! Candace goes through a tough time and is STILL with her boyfriend Kurt but is thinking about what to get him for Christmas which she thinks is taking her a year. I loved this book because it shows you the true meaning of Christmas and at the end Candace does a very sweet favor for a friend in need. Overall this has to be the cutest book by far and I am really looking forward to the LAST BOOK!!!!:) less
