review 1: Candace has been a theme-park employee for nearly a year now (books 1 thru 3), has been nominated for a park-sponsored full-ride scholarship by her friend Josh who submitted the ride design she scribbled on a napkin (shades of J.K. Rowling here?), and is now being scrutinized as one of the finalists.At first I thought I was stepping into Barbie-land. Okay, maybe I was, but after awhile I let that go and just let myself enjoy the story. I got past the technology and entertainment references that dated this (clear back to 2009!). By the end of the book I found myself wearing a silly grin on my face and reading parts to my daughter. Predicatable? Yes. Fun? Yes.There are a few "Christian" references which some readers might feel are forced and out of place. I found them ... moreto be refreshing and sincere. They were an honest attribute of the main character and a driving force in the choices she makes.
review 2: Tamara won a prize to a very exclusive resturant named Boone's. She decided to have a party for her parent's anniversary at the resturant. Candace asked Josh to help with stage st-up for the play Candace was in and Tamara asked James to help. Lisa asked Candace if she could join her Youth program at the church and Candace said yes. Candace is practicing with her team for the talent contest they are going to bulid with cups, the eiffel tower, stone Hendge, and the Pyramids. Josh, James, Tamara and Candace were all helping ouit with the play. The boys are both coming. less
