review 1: This book was pretty good. I give it three out of five stars. Some things in the book were too cheesy for my liking. I suppose some people may like that type of writing though. I personally don't. It was a quick read. I picked it up from the library last night and finished it this morning. Since it was quick, I'll probably pick up the other books in the series. This book had good life lessons in it and when I picked it up, I wasn't expecting it to have Christian things in it. I am a Christian so it was very pleasant.
review 2: Honestly, I went into this book with low expectations. It was on sale through CBD, the cover was cute, so I bought it as a quick hold-over read. You know, those days when you have no idea what to read even though your to-read list is a
... moremile long. Like when your pantry is stocked with gourmet foods but you still don’t know what to make, so you grab the sugar cereal because it’s easy and sweet. It was a quick read, not preachy, and pretty funny in terms of where the most drama took place. It also touches on responsibility, friendship, and teen love. In closing this book, I went about my night. The next day, I found myself thinking about Candace and wondering about the next book in the series. I want to read more about Josh and the Zone gang. I’ll even take a bit of Tamara, even though she was my least favorite character. So I went and ordered the rest of the series and I’m looking forward to reading them. Rating: A sweet surprise less
