review 1: Lily's young age and immaturity shows a lot in this installment. She will never be able to live down that picture will she?Lilly has gone to work for another company basically doing the same things. She and Clive have made slow progress at getting back where they were, but Slow is the key word. Lilly talks more about her past and so does Clive.I really like Clive and I anxious to see what has happened. Looking forward to part three, the final installment to this series.
review 2: This review may contain spoilers for book one, if you haven't read it, go do so now. You'll enjoy it.Lily let Clive know exactly how wrong he was about her and spilled her big secret at the end of book one. To say he was shocked is an understatement. Now Clive looks like an ass and
... moreLily needs a new job. This time around we meet Ben, the only friend Lily really has and the guy that talks her off the ledge when it's needed. Clive isn't going to go away quietly and I liked that Lily kept him under her thumb as well as she did. The guy needs knocked down a few pegs anyway as he thinks he can control everything in her life.Landing on her feet, Lily decides it's time to move forward with her life and without the interference of Clive Parker, however she misses him dearly and doesn't want to. Clive is pulling out all of the stops to get Lily to see his side of things and that he didn't do what he did to hurt her. She's crumbling fast, which isn't good, but she wants to finally be happy.Of course things can't be all honkey dory and Deborah Bladon rips the rug out from under us again. This cliffy is a doozy and actually made me gasp as I read it. Man, Lily can't catch a break and I am on pins and needles to see how Clive is going to explain this one. On to the third book! less
