Lucky O'Toole
review 1: This is the latest in a series of books about Lucky O'Toole, a 30 something woman who is the Head of Public Relations at the over-the-top themed Las Vegas hotel, the Babylon. Lucky is a problem solver for the hotel that experiences everything from murder to people putting themselves in situations that only happen in Las Vegas. If you enjoy the Stephanie Plum novels you will enjoy Lucky O'Toole. I have read all of them...it's like eating chips; once you start you can't stop!
review 2: I loved the first two books in this series. I enjoyed all the goofy situations Lucky O'Toole had to handle in the Vegas hotel she works for. I had the same problem with this book (#4) that I had with #3--Lucky is still too sad over her relationship with Teddie. Also, she is exh
... moreausted much of the time and even has a sprained ankle. I missed the fun with the strange guests and parties in the earlier books and the outrageous humor. There was a very funny scene with an elderly woman who wanted to start a phone sex line business with Lucky's Mom, but I wanted more goofiness. Instead of being young and glamorous, Lucky seems to see herself as too tall, too wide in the rear, getting wrinkles, and becoming an alcoholic. Good plot, enjoyed seeing familiar characters, but it wasn't the fun ride that I was hoping for. less
