review 1: WHAT! Only a 2.77 rating! I thought this novel was fantastic. Very insightful and realistic. When I read the inside flap, I wasn't too sure about it, but I got it from the library anyway! I'm so glad. One of my favorites of the year. Sukie is your typical teenage girl, vain, yet self conscience, insecure, yet cocky. Once her mother gives her a mirror that was given to her by her mother, Sukie's perfect life starts to unravel. Is it a coincidence, or was it the mirror? "...One never knew what went together, and seemingly random acts could be cosmically related." Well said Sukie, well said.I loved how it was written, just how I think, random thoughts into paragraphs. I still can't decide on the point of view...A lot of quotes that I marked, I'm going to add them to the quote... more section. This'll be my first! The way Sukie waited for a text message, I'm sure every girl has been there. I know I have. Look at the phone, flip it over, look at the clock, flip it over again, repeat, repeat. And then when you've lost all hope, a message appears. Humph. Boys.I was a little disappointed in the ending, (although I had figured out the plot from that first punch), I really thought the mirror was going to be magical or something. I did like that bit about the dog though. Very unique. I'm so glad she found friends at the end as well. And I loved her relationship with her brother.I think one of the reasons why I liked this story so much is because I can relate to Sukie. I don't know what that says about me though!
review 2: i honestly thought this book was pretty stupid. I'm sorry but the whole thing is about a girl that has been subjected to the stereotypes that we`ve been given as young families. this girl in this story is about how his girl is obsessed with her look and she's forever looking at herself in the mirror and she doesn't think she has a face unless she's looking at in the mirror. and on top of that she decides that she needs to change herself for this guy that she likes. even though there's a guy that clearly likes her already. its a true cliche. less

hmm
Good book, about shallow-ness and learning to look deeper, for Sukie.
