review 1: I liked the story..I really did. I loved and hated and loved Lila. Liam came on a little bit too strong for me in the beginning, but I got used to it. The only issues that I DID have is that sometimes, it was hard to follow the conversations as far as who was saying what to who. Also, some of the conversations seemed a bit rushed at times. I have to say it was an awesome story, I definitely identified with the story in many areas. The language was appropriate and the tone was appropriate for people of their ages, especially in the beginning. All in all, she can always go over it again and make some tweaks, if she so chooses. But I am definitely going to be on the look out for the second and third book. I actually went through my first book about a month after it was publis... morehed because I have an issue with conjunctions...took 4 hours but it was fixed. Then I emailed/messaged all those who gave me a bad review and notified them of the changes. Mean, nasty, back biting reviews are NOT necessary and are definitely immature in my opinion. review 2: This book has a ton of drama and plenty of twists. There is cheating, people dying, and a cliff hanger ending. The problem is that the writing seemed so distant to me. I felt no connection to the characters. Lila is hard to like. She comes off as selfish and immature and I couldn't understand why she made the decisions that she did. I felt absolutely no empathy for her. I felt that it could have been better. But if you like lots of soap opera-like drama, you might like this. less
