review 1: Abigail goes to visit with aunt for a few months to take a break from work and to watch over her aunt. She gets to be friends with Maddy, a young girl who is the daughter of Wade that is a widower. He discovers he needs a nanny for the summer after the one that was going to do it is not able to. Maddy suggest Abigail to stay with her, which she does. Abigail is a writer for her mother's magazine, she discover a story there that could help out the magazine, actually save the magazine. This causes some issues but work out in the end. Always a good book by Denise Hunter.
review 2: Another winner by Denise Hunter. I like these characters, even though it can be frustrating as you can see they are believing lies and making mistakes. It is easy to spot them when we, t... morehe reader, have the omniscient and oh-so-objective viewpoint. But this is realism in characterization. We all have misconceptions that we believe and that cause us to make less than stellar choices. As a man thinks,so he does. Jesus is truth and brings truth to our confused minds. I have found this to be a central theme in Denise Hunter's writing and I approve heartily. And not for nothin', but she writes romance really well. She hits that sweet spot between too much and not enough(IMO). I hope she writes many more. less
