review 1: Jade is lost right now being alone, pregnant and broke is forced to go back home to a place she left and didn't think would go back to and living to her family about things. She finds Daniel a man now but someone she thought of as a big brother and feelings start to happen. Daniel is the mayor and been like a big brother to jade her whole life but has been in love with her for years and never said anything, now with her home his feelings are greater then they were before. Can these two make what they feel be true, can they learn to love one and other and work out the differences of it all.
review 2: After reading Barefoot Summer from Denise Hunter last summer, I was so excited to see her name on this new book Dancing With Fireflies. Her writing is one I enjoyed
... more so much because it was just so free flowing and easy and made me feel lost in her words.I was again immediately captivated by this story, only this one had a darker plot than her last and I was drawn in for completely different reasons. Hunter is genius at creating characters that you immediately relate to and want to know more about.Jade McKinley is one such character. The book begins with something tragic happening in her life and like most of us do when bad things happen, she returns home for a fresh start. Part of her new start involves her past, namely Daniel Dawson, her brother by choice and not by actual relation.I could sense the chemistry and connection between the two immediately but Jade still sees him more as a brother. Will that change? Will she tell them her dark secret or let it haunt her and dictate her future. It’s always hard to begin again when the past seems to follow you and she has a constant reminder of it with her.Denise Hunter has quickly risen to the top of my favorite authors for her incredible writing, deep characters and original plots that have me quickly turning pages and investing in her story. I liked Dancing With Fireflies, the second in the Chapel Springs Romance, even more than Barefoot Summer and can’t wait to see what she tops it with next! less

Clean book. Thought the plot was a little predictable, but enjoyable, light read.
