review 1: So it seems I have a huge, huge weakness of Lisbeth Salander. But do you blame me? The graphic novel adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo brings her to life, and I found myself looking forward to the parts with her in it more than Mikael's story. However, that could be because I know what happens and Lisbeth is much more visually appealing than Mikael. The only downside of this is that it's split into two volumes. The ending of volume 1 seems very abrupt and a little jarring. The rest of it is great though.
review 2: I initially saw the Movie and found it very dark and almost difficult to tell where certain narratives and characters met. Basically watched it with on eye, and didn't really pay to much attention the first time. I have now read the book a
... morend boy is it clear! I was surprised to learn about the Swedish economy its crash and the corruption. This book had me hooked each page was a turner, I longed for more suspense and mystery, it did not disappoint. Fantastic author. I loved this but i hope to feel a little more grit and cynicism next time with slightly more direct characters. For me the plot became ever more predictable to a degree, but this was done in an inquisitive way keeping the reader persistently locked in. I would give the story, plot and setting a high rating along with the writing, yet i would have preferred this particularity story to be written in a way where the reader is mislead or perhaps even somewhat left questioned puzzled and guessing, this drive and feeds to a state of euphoric excitement and confusion for this type of thriller. It was well solved and told historic crime. less
