review 1: I've had this for almost two years. Shhh, don't tell my mom who bought it for me! However, I'd have to say that, on a personal level, it did me more good lately than it would have done two years ago. I loved that there were several different authors. I loved that they weren't lengthy chapters, but also not one-paragraph devotional thoughts. Almost all chapters had something that resonated with me in my life right now. I'm sure that many people would be able to find several things, too. I give this five-stars mainly for personal reasons, but it's still a great book!
review 2: This book was ok. I struggled with it at times because I wasn't in the right mindset. I was actually a little disappointed because I thought I'd get more out of it than I did. I woul... mored say if I compared it to the Chicken Book for the Soul books that I enjoy those books better than this book. Here's my pros and cons of the book.Pros:-Very fast read.-Each story is no more than 3-4 pages.Cons:-You definitely have to be in the mindset to read this book. If you're mind is wandering or you're tired, not a good book to read.-For me, not as inspiring as going to a Time Out for Women event, and not as humorous, and that's why I thought it would be a fabulous book! less
