The Hunt For Reacher

review 1: I'm an avid Reacher fan, so I had to read these as soon as I learned of them. Is this the first in the series? Or not? Nowhere is the answer very clear. I assume it is the second as the reasoning for building this Reacher file is never explained except by the author in her synopsis. Story is extremely thin on plot and zero action. Reacher is alluded to have been seen by the protagonist, but then the story ends. With only the warning that Reacher is unfindable and has friends in high and low places. However, these are not revelations. Anyone who has read a Reacher book knows this. Hell even if you saw the movie with Tommy Boy Cruise.I'll read the reset because Reacher is a great character.
review 2: I just saw these short stories that are related to the Jack Rea... morecher series. Thought I would give one a try--after all, they are cheap and easy. The writing is very much in Lee Child's style. However, I was disappointed by this first one. It was not so much a short story in and of itself as it was really the first part of a bigger, longer novel. It felt like an introduction not a story. That said, I am getting the second one to see if that holds out because the promise behind the introduction is pretty good. For those who love Jack Reacher books, it's a good shot. less
