review 1: Orpheus and Eurydice set in '60s Milan. I've read Tartar Steppe, but I never knew that Buzzati was also an artist. Poem Strip is a graphic novel, which Buzzati wrote and illustrated in the late '60s. this English version just came along a few years ago. Maybe it was deemed uncommercial or maybe American publishers were afraid of the frank sensuality of many of the images as Orfi negotiates his way through the underworld seeking his dead wife.

I'd say this is de Chirico + Sartre's "No Exit" + Kafka + hot 60s women, all taking place in Milano
Reinterpretación de Orfeo y Urídice. A manera de cómic.
Very Italian. Lots of boobies. Another Powell's sale find.
Review to come at some point in the future.
