review 1: Bogdan has created an emotional story of a young girl who leaves everything and everyone she knows to go to a strange land that would become her home. Since her marriage by proxy, Margaret was constantly pulled in two directions: loyalty to England and the family she was born into and loyalty to Scotland and the king who was her husband. Bogdan does an amazing job at showing the struggle Magaret went through, all that she endured, and the ultimate success of a union bewteen the two although not in her lifetime. The Forgotten Queen is beautifully written and proved to be hard to put down. The attention to detail was amazing demonstrating the amount of research the author did to bring this tale to life. Overall this was an amazing read that I would most definitely recom... moremend. Bogdan is definitely an author to watch.
review 2: I always enjoy historical fiction, especially anything related to the Tudor dynasty. This book was a good read about an important, but often over-looked, figure in the Tudor family tree. My only wish is that there were more dates in the book. I found it difficult to envision the passage of time in Margaret's life -- several years would be covered in a few paragraphs. I would also like to see a family tree included in the book. Overall, this is a book that I would buy for my own bookshelf, and I would recommend it to others. less

I liked this book but it seemed a bit fluffy and certainly oversimplified at times.

I think I am beginning to tire of Tudor historical fiction.
