review 1: I remember this book from my youth. I bought it at the Scholastic school book fair and I was so excited to read it. But yeah, it's an excellent read and very thought provoking. I remember early in my childhood whenever I would read a book I would rush to my mom for further discussion or clarity. In this instance I asked my mom more detail about eating disorders. I felt that through reading(and specifically my time spent at the public library) I had the adequate exposure I needed to get through the chaos of high school. Because of this book I was able to properly diagnose some of the twats at my school.
review 2: Well, this book was a bit frustrating. No thriller, no romance. Just her struggles to keep herself dying from anorexia *heh*cliche. Mel is a bit annoyi
... moreng. She just don't listen to anyone, not even her mom. Ooookaay. I clearly understood the matter. It's just I haven't read anything so disappointing like this one. I was just reading it from the start, excitement dimmed in the middle, and I felt like stuffing it to the farthest shelf of my nightstand because I don't know how to comment.Aaargh, why the hell did I buy it?? less

It was pretty good. An old novel I picked up from my English teacher's bin.
