review 1: My first reaction is to say that this book is different and takes some turns - I don't mean turns in the plot, but turns in the levels of emotional writing. I enjoyed the book and read it in one sitting, yet I can not pinpoint the reason why - the plot is predictable, and even the things you cannot guess immediately are not surprising when you find them out. For a first-time author, it was great, and I can imagine reading Magee again.
review 2: Wow, this was pretty crazy. A lot of characters and different personalities, and things kept happening that I wanted to say "Hey, if you would just look over HERE than you would see it!" but of course they always looked the other way, or gave up and turned around before noticing what they needed to notice to figure out ... morethe mystery. It was pretty interesting, but the end kind of dragged. Still worth recommending. less
