review 1: Boy, I just could not enjoy this book. Honestly, it was a lot of strong reminders of what I don't like seeing in YA. It followed the dad's story more closely than the kids, the mom and the sister did NOTHING useful and needed the boys to think for them, and they all learned a lesson at the end, which they agreed made the whole thing worth it. The lesson I learned is that I'm done reading this author.
review 2: This graphic novel is pretty fantastic and it appeals to all sorts of audiences. When I picked up this novel, I was unsure of what to think as well as unaware what sort of story line it would hold. It starts off by getting ready for a dysfunctional family vacation, and then there is a shipwreck. The family must learn to care for each other, and actually e... morexpress their love for each other, no matter what.
