review 1: Okay so I prefer the first volume than this one. Indeed, it widen the story about Zack Overkill, but still the first volume was a lot better written andnwell thought than this. This could use a lot more twist and a lot more plot points. I'm not saying that this is something that could disappoint me though, but I just expected a lot more out from it. Nevertheless, the artwork was still as sick as the previous one. Ed Brubaker wrote it on the way he imagined it to be, I just assumed it would turn out differently. Which is why I only gave it 4 stars out of 5. But still though, it would let us know more about Zack Overkill, a character I've learned to love. Entertaining as it is worth to open and ponder about.
review 2: The story feels a lot like a twisted version
... moreof Sleeper that Brubaker used his own stable for, but it's not a bad thing since it provides the alternate perspective for Holden. And it provides a more prominent sense of nihilism, since Zach literally has no ties in anything as his old life dissolves and his empathy feels more like a disease than a feeling of worthiness. I'm still waiting for him and Black Death to go toe to toe, and for Lazarus' memories to come back to him. less

If I didn't like volume one, I should have presumed I wouldn't like volume two. Oh well.
