review 1: It was an okay read. I liked the premise, but the execution was not as great. The boyfriend was that easily controlled? And his best friend was that evil but she could not sense it? And she goes out with the best friend of the best friend of the boyfriend who doesn't really like the best friend? Wait, what? It got confusing after a while, especially when the house starts melting and the good fae who know that there are bad fae out there invite her, a stranger into their home? Does that sound like someone who is afraid of the times ahead? And why couldn't the bad whatever kill her as a baby? Because her mom protected her? He killed the mom, he could have easily finished off a baby. Too many unfinished or unclear points. But nice story.
review 2: Tyler... more describes a fantastic world in Avalon. The rhelm of the fairies.Ok, seriously, this is an awesome read! Who doesn't love stories about fairies? Once this story started I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the characters and especially loved the description of Avalon... I would love to visit this place! Who wouldn't? I didn't want the story to end and found myself wanting to read more. And ohhhh let's not forget the romance! Yes, fantasy and romance go so well together. The sexy bits (OMG) are totally awesome! (sigh).Alexis always feels she's out of place in the human world, as if she doesn't fit in, then finds out why. It's because she's a fairly who was glamoured by her fairy mother to save her life. Her boyfriend of many years is not who he's suppose to be nor is his best friend Andrew. And let's not forget the housekeeper, Bonnie, she isn't who she's suppose to be either. So many twists in this story kept me intrigued. And OMG I have to mention Sloane...sigh... that's all I'm going to say about him!Alexis has a destiny and with the help of her friends she is on a quest to put things right. Alexis doesn't know the way of the fae since she was raised in the human world. Will she be able to accomplish this task after just finding out she's a fairy? To find the answer to this question and get to know the wonderful characters, you really must read this book.Treat yourself to a wonderful fantasy and visit the world of the fae. You'll be glad you did. less
